This Privacy Policy explains in plain language what FictionLab AI does with information created when you browse the site or talk to a companion. Please read it together with our Terms of Service.

FictionLab AI operates the website at fictionlab-ai.com and the companion experiences published on it. Where this policy says we, us or our, it refers to FictionLab AI.

This policy covers information handled through the FictionLab AI site and companion chats. It does not cover third-party sites you reach through links or advertising.

FictionLab AI is for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age, and any such account is removed once identified.

This includes anything you type into a chat, an email address if you provide one, and any preference you set while using FictionLab AI.

Chat content is stored so that companion memory works across sessions. It is treated as private and is not published or shared for marketing.

We only send email where you have asked for it. Every message includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately.

Companion replies are generated automatically, but FictionLab AI does not use automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
23. Do Not Track signals
Browser Do Not Track standards remain inconsistent, so we do not respond to them. Cookie controls in your browser remain effective.
24. Children's data
If we learn that information belonging to a minor has been submitted, it is deleted promptly and the associated account is closed.
25. Third-party links
Links leaving fictionlab-ai.com are governed by the privacy practices of the destination site, which we do not control.
26. Public content
Anything you voluntarily post in a public area, if such areas exist, may be visible to others and is not covered by chat confidentiality.

29. Regional rights (California)
